Parisa Taghipour is an Iranian visual artist. Parisa is a multidisciplinary artist. Although known for her mythological and fantastic sculptures, Parisa is also a painter, potter, and printer. The artist obtained a Master’s degree in Painting from the University of the Arts, Isfahan, Iran in 2012. Following her academic achievements, Parisa continued to be involved in the arts practically, theoretically, and critically. To date, the artist has published a book, Women and the Court (2016), and numerous scholarly articles and papers on art theory and analysis, as well as children psychology. Parisa is a member of the Society of Iranian Painters, the Institute of Visual Arts, and the Trust Fund in Support of Writers, Journalists, and Artists.
For Parisa, her creations are depictions of her mind. Often derived from pain, suffering, and mental conflicts usually accompanying these adversities, Parisa’s artworks represents form and material in fantastical and mythological ways.
