Education

1993 – 1996 BA in Theatre/Theatre Arts Management, Arak Azad University, Tehran, Iran.

Shahin Norouzi has been taught under Mr. Behrouz Moslemian supervision as a well-known painting professor in Tehran University of Iran and private institutes, since 2007. As a professional artist, he is a self-built painter who commenced painting at the age of 16, continued his study in Theatre but left the university in the middle and started his career as a professional painter. He has been holding his private exhibitions (solo and group) since 2004.

Norouzi’s paintings consists of bold, vibrant colours assembled in abstract forms arranged strategically on the canvas, usually overlaying a colour-blocked background. These formless shapes challenges the reader to register and recognise the nameless nature of most things in life, as well as interrogating the conventional understanding of reality.
