Seydi Murat Koç is a Turkish artist, born in 1981. He is currently working as a lecturer at Doğuş University. Shortlisted for “Young Painter of the Year 2005” in the competition organized by RH + Art Magazine, Seydi Murat Koç continues his painting and original print painting works in his private studio in Moda, Istanbul.
His works combines a variety of techniques, subject matters, and colours, creating unconventional pieces that appear unnatural, otherworldly, and curiously mysterious. Delving into questions of what constitute the human, the separation of it from nature, and the future of humanity, the work of Seydi Murat Koç are thought-provoking and deeply nuanced.
