Zahra Mohamadi (born 1992) is an Iranian multidisciplinary artist from Tehran. she lives and work in Tehran. She has studied painting at the Fine Art school and sculpture at the Art University of Tehran. Zahra Mohamadi has exhibited her works in over thirty Group exhibitions in UK, Germany, Italy, Greece, Russia, United States, Belgium, Netherland and Iran. Her main focus as an artist is on women’s issues, and she works with the different mediums such as sculpture, collage, drawing and print making. In Mohamadi’s work, the goal is to ask questions, not judge. The artist’s job is to design a theme or framework for discussion. Consequently, form has a special place in Mohamadi’s work. The main concepts she tends to explore are violence, rights, identity, the body, gender, sexual orientation, and taboos.
