Enes Debran is a Turkish artist.

Born in 1991, Debran’s work primarily consists of portraits. Interestingly, his method does not completely follow tradition or realism. Debran uses neither a frozen expression method as in the ancient sculptures, nor a realistic expression method as seen in the human body. Dwelling in a limbo state of mind, his works are neither fictional nor real, alive nor dead, woman nor man.

Enes Debran has a unique process of creation which does not include any premeditated ideas or management. Instead of mapping and concluding, everything comes into existence within the process, fuelled by pure dedication. He expresses this dedication throughout his process and believes that this expression becomes more influential, simple, and transparent in this way. Enes Debran creates works that are intuitional and improvisational as he allows the painting to guide him. In this way, he believes the wall that exists between the painting and himself demolishes and the outcome of the work appears more intimate and personal.
