Hossein Tadi is an Iranian artist. He was born in Tehran in 1984. Hossein began his career by participating in free art classes in 2004. In 2008, Hossein was admitted to university to study Graphic Design. As he began his education in the arts, Hossein became familiar with contemporary drawing. Hossein took drawing courses at Farhad Gavzan’s Drawing House. The artist spent more time at the Drawing House. And eventually became more familiar with the styles of contemporary drawing. Hossein Tadi has held three solo exhibitions at the Khaneye Honarmandan. And also the Drawing house at the Drawing Museum.
In addition to these exhibitions, Hossein has been a part of more than forty group exhibitions. These took place in various galleries. Which includes Dastanbasement, Barg, Laleh, Homa, Shirin, and others. In 2016, Hossein attended a group exhibition for drawing in Milan, Italy. Hossein is primarily a painter. But he also has numerous interdisciplinary projects. These include the “Drawing and Sound” project at the Robero mansion Compulsary Migration in Feshk.
Hossein is also an art critic and writer. And has been theoretically involved in drawing over the past decade. Many artistic journals publish the artist’s expression of artistic concerns and criticisms. These include Tandis. Hossein Tadi has been the Director of Planning and Implementing at the Drawing Museum. In 2018, Hossein directed the Contemporary Drawing Dialogue. This was complete with four talks. With Ali Zakeri, Karim Nasr, Ahmed Vakili, and Behrang Samadzadegan. Hossein Tadi also curated the series, Drawing Bunker.
