Nenad Gajić was born in 1982 in Pancevo, Serbia. He graduated from the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade, Department of Graphic Design, in 2006. As far as applied art is concerned, he has done illustrations, animated films, as well as special effects and film masks for numerous domestic and interational films, TV series, theater plays and commercials.
Since 2013, he has also been exhibiting sculptures. At the ULUS Spring Exhibition that year, he exhibited the moving sculpture “Awakened”, inspired by stop motion puppet animation and won the award for extended media, then, in 2015, he exhibited the hyperrealistic miniature “Big Man” at the group exhibition of the Nis Art Foundation, and in 2017 at the Exhibition Serbian sculptor exhibits the monumental sculpture “Faint Giant”. From the ULUS Spring Exhibition 2018, the cycle of hyperrealistic sculptures with kinetic movement of breathing begins, which is now being completed.
He first showed the moving sculpture “Long Dream” at that exhibition, and at the end of 2019 he exhibited the new moving sculpture “Forever Alone” at the group exhibition “Outcomes of New Technology” at the Gallery of Contemporary Art in Pancevo.
In September 2020, he exhibited hyperrealistic sculptures at the “Exhibition of Serbian Sculptors” in the Pavilion of Cvijeta Zuzorić, the exhibition “Other World” in the Balkan Cinema within the Sasa Marchet Foundation and at the Autumn Exhibition of ULUS. During 2021, he participated in the ULUS Spring Exhibition, the International Biennial of the 58th October Salon in Belgrade and realized 2 solo exhibitions, the first exhibition in Pancevo, in the Bata Mihajlovic Gallery and the second in Krusevac in the Art Gallery.
