I refer to most of my work as ApocalypticExpressionism. This is an ongoing investigation into how religion, trauma, peak capitalism, and white supremacist hetero-patriarchal oppression effect our day to day lives. I am interested in what futures we might create in order to endure. In order to do be open to these futures, we must first come to terms with the state of the world and our own identities. My work, using a variety of visual mediums, repurposing discarded industrial materials, reaches into the depth of the hidden aspects of ourselves and how our personal histories are shaped and situated within the larger context of sociopolitical power, so that once aware, we may break free.
