‘Mare Nostrum’, meaning ‘Our Sea’ in Latin, belongs to two different artist of Mediterranean origin. The selections are inspired from utopias and nature and formed by the approach of internalizing the matters of colors, motions and scales. Eser Gündüz mostly emphasizes on various utopias through the architectural basis. He portrays the different moments on the utopias that he feels with which he creates balance in his paintings. Li Ramet uses stains and lines influenced by Eastern calligraphy as a reflection of a state of mind, demonstrating the consept of emptiness through light and color. She also takes inspiration from nature and its various textures and forms, alongside anthropological research of ancestral roots and the study of the flow of water which belongs to her. Through her work, she intensifies the subtle things within the prominent and she subtilize the more complex subjects.
