Erkan Ozdilek is a Turkish artist.
Ozdilek was born in Yeşilhisar Kayseri, Turkey in 1959. Initially Ozdilek worked as an assistant at the Graphic Department State Collage of Applied Fine Arts, İstanbul. Ozdilek was granted the Internationale Sommerakademie für Bildende Kunst scholarship by the Austrian Goverment, Salzburg, Austria between the years 1988-1990. Following this, Erkan Ozdilek was granted another scholarship by the Germany Government where projects were conducted in Dusseldork and Berlin between the years 1994-1996. All through the scholarship period, Ozdilek worked at the Department of Graphics as a printmaking atelier. Following this, Ozdilek worked at the Department of Basic Education, giving basic education lessons to students. Topics including, painting, ceramic, architecture, industrial design, cinema and TV, textile departments.
Erkan Ozdilek was involved with the “Artist Residence Air Project” in 2001, hosted by the Austria Culture Ministry. He headed the “To Dream with Paper Pulp” program for four years at the Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts, International Summer Academy. In addition to this role, Ozdilek also teaches Fashion Design lessons at Okan University. In 2012, Erkan Ozdilek was involved in the UKKSA International exhibition and symposium.
